DocScape for agencies
DocScape automates the manual design process.
Like many plug-ins for DTP software, DocScape may also be used as a “database publishing”
solution. However, its rule-based approach allows not only to import the required elements onto the
page, but also to 100% automate the subsequent page design process. For the end customer, this
means that page-based cost models can be dispensed with altogether.
Design concepts for documents still have to be drawn up, but these are defined in a
machine-readable format as rules for DocScape. This process could be included in the range of
services an agency offers. At the same time, it is possible to operate DocScape at the ageny’s
premises, offering e.g. document design at fixed rates. In order to draw up design rules, a basic
understanding of the concepts of a mark-up language such as HTML is recommended.
QuinScape operates exclusively as a software manufacturer (and service provider in related IT
sectors), not as an agency. Competitive situations will only arise if customers continue to be
offered manual, page-based production options instead of an automated solution. In all other cases,
there is the option of working as partners.
